Personal
Items
- It is very important that you label your child's
extra change of clothing. The change will be kept at school until
needed.
- Please be sure to replace the change when needed
and return promptly school clothing used for your child.
- All sweaters, coats and lunch boxes must be labeled.
- This will facilitate finding misplaced items.
- The school will not be responsible for missing
items which were unlabeled.
- Remember to take your child's sweater, coat,
lunch box or other personal belongings home each night. Our storage
space is limited. Items left over two weeks will be given to Goodwill.
Toys
and Sharing Day
- Personal toys are not allowed at school. They
may become lost or broken and are frequently the cause of trouble between
the children.
- Please check your child's pockets and lunch box
in the morning to be sure they are not accidentally brought
to school.
- Special items of interest my be be brought
to school any time. These include:

Insects
(in unbreakable containers) |
- Please label these items before they are sent
to school.
- Each class has a special sharing day
on the last Friday of the month.
- On this day ONLY your child may brine ONE SPECIAL
toy to share. The toy must be labeled and will be kept in the office
before and after the sharing period.
- Please do not send toy weapons or expensive toys
to school.
Art
and Work Boxes
- The art boxes are located on the table near the
office door.
- Each child has a labeled folder in the box.
- Please check your child's folder every Friday
and take the contents home.
- The table should be checked also for your child's
sharing items and personal belongings.
Nap
Time
- A nap will be provided for any child who needs
or wants one.
- Please send a fitted crib sheet if your child
takes naps.
- The sheet will be washed at school each week.
The sheet will become school property after your child outgrows the
nap.
- Please do not send pillows or large blankets
to school. We do not have enough storage space.
Birthdays
- If you would like to have a party at school,
please arrange the date with the office.
- Since the party is usually held before lunch,
we ask that you send something simple and not too sweet.
- One cupcake per child is the best treat to send.
- Parents usually provide a cupcake and a birthday
napkin.
- If you would like to send juice, please include
paper cups.
- If you are planning a party away from school,
you may leave invitations on the office table.
- Your child's sign in/out sheet will provide the
names of the children in his/her class for the invitations.
Winter
& Spring Vacations
- The school is closed two weeks in December and
one week in March or April.
- During these weeks we offer child care for working
parents.
- There is a daily nominal fee charged.
- You will receive a sign-up sheet two weeks prior
to each vacation period.
- You may choose the days you need childcare.
- Due to staff scheduling, sign-up sheets
cannot be accepted after the due date.
