Admittance
- School Hours
- The school opens at 7:00 am. You may drop your
child off between 7:00 am and 8:30 am.
- When you bring your child to school in the morning,
please be as quiet as possible. We are located in a residential area,
and we operate under a conditional use permit. It is important that
we maintain the good will of our neighbors.
- When you drop off your child, please pull into
the circular driveway, as far in as possible, and then turn your engine
off.
- You may park in the circular driveway for quick
drop-offs only. Please be considerate of those who are parked
behind you.
- If you must stay inside the school for longer
than 3 minutes, then please park on the street.
- There is no parking allowed behind staff cars
on school property.
- Entrance to the driveway is always from the north
side - exiting out of the south.
- Your child must be
brought into the office upon arrival. NEVER leave your child without
first seeing the staff member in charge.
- It is a state regulation that you must sign your
full name on the sign-in sheets when you drop off and pick up your child.
The children are not allowed to sign themselves in or out of school.
Academic
Program - Tardiness
- The academic program begins at 8:30 am. Most
of the pre-activity orientation occurs during the first fifteen minutes
of class.
- The tone of your child's day depends on proper
introduction to social interaction. The structure of our program is
such that tardy children are a disruption to the class. Your child may
feel insecure walking into an already working class. The teacher may
not be free to greet the child properly.
- If you should arrive to school late, allow a
staff member in the office to take your child to class. It is very disruptive
to the classroom work time when parents make interruptions.
- Our program is not designed as a drop-in service.
Parents of students who are habitually late will be asked to consider
finding another school where drop-ins don't disrupt their program.

Dismissal
- School Hours
- The school closes at 6:00 pm SHARP!
- You must arrange to pick up your child by 6:00
pm. Staff members who close the school are not paid after 6:00 pm. They
are on their own time if they are forced to baby-sit for tardy parents.
- These staff members have homes, class or appointments
to get to like everyone else. It is unfair to keep them on the job after
their shift ends.
- The school has a late pick-up fee schedule which
is designed to discourage late pick-ups. The fee schedule is as follows:
| Pick up Time |
Charge |
Pick Up Time |

After 6:00 pm pick-up fees are payable directly
to the staff member who stayed, on the same day!
- No child will be released to anyone other than
a parent or person whose name appears on the emergency form unless specific
arrangements have been made with the office.
- A written note must be sent to the office, signed
by the parent, stating the name of the person to whom the child should
be released. This person should be able to identify him/herself.
- If your child is enrolled in the 2:30 pick-up
program, we ask that you be prompt in picking up. At 2:30 your child
will be sent to the office to await pick-up.
- We base our staff/child ratio on students signed
up for the afternoon program. We are understaffed if 2:30 children are
not picked up on time. There is a $20.00 per half hour charge for parents
who are late. You will be billed.
